How Can Happy and Sad Co-exist?

What a bitter-sweet week! Jamohn came home from Afganistan to a very happy Michelle and kids! We were thrilled to see him safely with their family and reunited! My mom's street was lined with flags, and as you can see her house and sidewalks were lined with flags, yellow balloons and ribbons marking this great occasion! We had a great time together celebrating his return with our whole family and Jamohn's brother Bryce.

But amidst the joy and happiness, there was an underlying tone of sadness. It has been so great having Michelle here this past year-and-almost-a half! Now we know with Jamohn's return they leave us for Virginia. How sad it will be to have her so far away from us. We will really feel the sadness in her absence. Politics won't be the same in my life without her daily "Rush" updates and commentary on the political scene! I love you Mik! And we will all be feeling a void with you so far away! Can't wait to come to VA to check out your new home and life back there!

That is awesome! Brings tears to my eyes! The flags and decorations were beautiful! Maybe we can have a little family reunion on the east coast this summer! (We're supposed to move to PA in July!)
